| Removing/installing | ||
1 | Remove intake camshaft (1) or exhaust camshaft (2) over the relevant valve tappet (3) | ||
2 | Clean valve tappet (3) with clean rags | The valve tappet (3) must be free of oil. | |
3 | Remove valve tappet (3) | Do not use a magnet. Magnetization of the valve tappet (3) can lead to gathering of the smallest iron chips which can lead to damage to the valve tappet (3) and intake camshaft (1)or exhaust camshaft (2). | |
Installation: When recycling the valve tappet (3) they must be reinstalled at the same location. | |||
