Remove flywheel

Remove locating pins

 Installation: Install locating pins on spacer

Rework flywheel


Measure test values (a, b) for machining. If the dimension (b) is smaller than the limit value or the required stock removal at the clutch surface (A) is larger than 1 mm 

Replace flywheel

 If the clutch surface (A) is reworked, also the mounting surface (B) must be reworked with the same dimension.
The spacer dimension (a) must be kept in each case!
Rework flywheels with scorch marks, score marks or cracks in the clutch surface by grinding or precision machining.

If score marks or cracks are deeper than the permissible stock removal 

Replace flywheel

 After machining, the clutch surface must not show any shrink holes and chatter marks

Check axial runout and flatness of friction surface or mounting surface


