1 | Remove bottom engine compartment paneling | ||
2 | Unscrew nuts (1) and remove bolts from transmission bell | | |
3 | Remove cover (2) from crankcase | ||

4 | Check splines of ring gear for drive plate | Check splines for wear and damage by rotating engine at the center bolt for crankshaft in its direction of rotation. If necessary: | |
Replace drive plate. | |||

5 | Insert retaining lock (01) into access opening | If required, rotate engine further at center bolt for crankshaft in engine's direction of rotation until the retaining lock (01) snaps into place. | |
