Remove

Remove belt pulley

Press out the crankshaft radial sealing ring (1) with a suitable tool.

Do not damage the crankshaft or mounting hole for the crankshaft radial sealing ring (1) otherwise the leaktightness of the new crankshaft radial sealing ring (1) cannot be guaranteed.

Install

Clean the sealing surface on the timing case cover (2)

The sealing surface on the timing case cover (2) must be free of grease and dry.

Fit the crankshaft radial sealing ring (1) in the timing case cover (2) with a drift

Replace crankshaft radial sealing ring (1)

The timing case cover (2) and the crankshaft radial sealing ring (1) must be flush.
