Prying off thread

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Remove

Drain engine oil



Remove screw/bolts of oil pan bottom section (1)

 Almost completely remove the two opposing screw/bolts.

Remove oil pan bottom section (1)


Carefully screw in screw/bolts.
The pressing off thread (2) of the oil pan bottom section (1) can be damaged otherwise.

 To do this screw screw/bolts into the pry off thread (2) of the oil pan bottom section (1) and pry off oil pan bottom section (1).

Remove oil pan bottom section (1)

 To do this remove the remaining screw/bolts for the oil pan bottom section (1).

Remove screw/bolts from pry off thread (2) of the oil pan bottom section (1)



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces

Install

Apply sealant to sealing surface of the oil pan bottom section (1)

Sealant, Loctite 5970, 50 ml

Put oil pan bottom section (1) in place and screw in screw/bolts

 Bolt, oil pan bottom section to oil pan

Pour in engine oil



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
