Remove/install

Drain engine oil.



Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).

Unclip electric line from oil pan bottom section (10) and place to one side.

Unscrew screws (11) of oil pan bottom section (10) in reverse order to tightening procedure and remove oil pan bottom section (10).

 Installation: Replace seal.
Observe tightening procedure.

Remove engine oil fill level sensor (B40/6).

When replacing oil pan bottom section (10).

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces of oil pan top section and oil pan bottom section (10).

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install in the reverse order.
