Detach ground line from battery

Drain engine oil



Unclip electrical line (1) at oil pan bottom section (2)

Detach electrical connection (3) from fill level sensor (4)

Disconnect electrical connection (5) on engine oil temperature sensor (6)

Unfasten front circulation pump for low-temperature circuit with bracket and place with attached lines to one side

Detach bracket (7) for oil lines

Remove oil line (8) from oil pan bottom section (2)

 Bolt, oil line to oil pan/crankcase/engine support

Unscrew oil filter element (9)

 Oil filter cover to oil pan

Remove screw/bolts (10)

 Screw, oil pan bottom section to oil pan center section/oil pan top section

Screw screw/bolt into the thread (11) and pry oil pan bottom section (2) off oil pan top section

 Use screw/bolt M6x60 mm or longer.

Remove oil pan bottom section (2) downwards

 Installation: Replace seal.

Clean sealing surfaces for oil pan bottom section (2) and the oil pan top section


Do not use sharp-edged tools.
The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.

Remove fill level sensor (4)

When installing new oil pan bottom section (2).
