| Remove | ||
1 | Remove engine oil fill level sensor(B40/6). | ||
2 | Remove the noise encapsulation from the oil pan (4). | ||
3 | Remove screws (2). | ||
4 | Remove the oil pan cover (3). | ||
5 | Remove the molded seal from the oil pan cover (3). | ||
6 | Remove the screws (1) contrary to the tightening procedure and remove the oil pan (4). | ||
7 | Remove the molded seal from the oil pan (4). | ||
| Clean | ||
8 | Clean the sealing surfaces on the oil pan cover (3), the oil pan (4) and the lower crankcase section (5) using a lint-free cloth. | | |
Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray | |||
| Install | ||
9 | Attach the molded seal to the oil pan (4). | Use a new molded seal. | |
10 | Attach the screws (1) by hand as per the tightening procedure until the oil pan (4) comes into contact with the lower crankcase section (5). | ||
11 | Tighten the screws (1) as per the tightening procedure. | ||
Screw/bolt, oil pan bottom section to oil pan top section | |||
12 | Attach the molded seal to the oil pan cover (3). | Use a new molded seal. | |
13 | Attach the oil pan cover (3) and attach the screws (2) in a crosswise pattern by hand until the oil pan cover (3) comes into contact with the oil pan (4). | ||
14 | Tighten screw/bolts (2) diagonally. | Screw/bolt, oil pan bottom section to oil pan top section | |
15 | Attach the soundproofing to the oil pan (4). | ||
16 | Install the engine oil fill level sensor (B40/6). |
