Remove timing case cover

Remove flywheel

Remove oil pump

Disconnect electrical connector (6)

Unclip electrical wiring harness (7) from crankcase lower part (1)

Unscrew bolt (8)

Unclip charge current line (9) from crankcase lower part (1) and remove from working area

Remove coolant hose (3) on engine oil heat exchanger (2)

Remove all screw/bolts (5)

Tightening procedure

 The position of the screw/bolts (5) can be taken from the tightening procedure.

Unfasten crankcase lower part (1) from crankcase upper part and take off

Remove rear radial shaft sealing ring from crankshaft



Clean

Remove the rest of the sealant on crankcase lower part (1) and on crankcase upper part

Clean sealing surfaces on crankcase lower part (1) and on crankcase upper part

Assembly cleaner

Install

Apply sealant to sealing surfaces on crankcase lower part (1) and on crankcase upper part

Information on application of sealant to crankcase bottom section

Place crankcase lower part (1) with screw/bolts (5) evenly on the crankcase upper part.

 Pay attention to different lengths of screws.

Fully tighten screws/bolts(5)

Tightening procedure

 Observe tightening procedure for screw/bolts (5).

 Screw/bolt, lower crankcase section to upper crankcase section

Install rear radial shaft sealing ring

 Replace rear radial shaft sealing ring.

Attach coolant hoses (3) to engine oil heat exchanger (2)

 Replace clamps.

Clip in charge current line (9) onto crankcase lower part (1)

Tighten screw (8)

Clip in electrical wiring harness (7) on crankcase lower part (1)

Connect electrical connection(6)

Install oil pump
