Remove/install engine with transmission with removal fixture

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Prepare lifting platform with suitable mounts.

Align mounts for the lifting platform to the planned support points (cross-hatched areas) on engine (1) and transmission (2) and fix in place.

 Then lower the lifting platform again.

Bring vehicle into the center working height.

Align lifting platform with the previously fix in place mounts to the lift support points on engine (1) and transmission (2).

Lower vehicle until the engine (1) and transmission (2) lie on the respective support points.

Also secure engine (1) and transmission (2) with tensioning straps.

Unscrew nut (3)   .

Unfasten stud bolt (4) from the beveled guide seat of the engine mount.

 To do this unfasten stud bolt (4) using blows using a suitable tool.

Remove Screw/bolt/bolts (5)   .

Remove engine (1) with transmission (2).

 Employ a number of persons as required.
Damage may occur otherwise.

Install in the reverse order.
