4 | Detach refrigerant compressor and place to one side with refrigerant lines attached | On vehicles with code (I01) Air conditioning Plus | |

5 | Lower vehicle and remove interior flap over engine | On vehicles without code (I01) Air conditioning Plus | |
6 | Unhook brake booster vacuum line (10) on fuel lines holder (9) and fix on the rail using suitable adhesive tape | ||
7 | Remove bolts (7), loosen coolant connection fitting (8) from major assembly carrier (1) and lay to one side | Installation: Replace sealing ring on coolant connection fitting (8). | |

8 | Expose electrical wiring harness (3) between starter and major assembly carrier (1) and lay to one side | ||
9 | Remove bolts (2) and bolts (arrow) | | |
10.1 | Take major assembly carrier (1) off crankcase | On vehicles with code (I01) Air conditioning Plus | |
10.2 | Lift vehicle using the vehicle lift, loosen nuts (5), swivel alternator (G2) on retaining bracket (6) to the front and remove major assembly carrier downwards | On vehicles without code (I01) Air conditioning Plus | |
11 | Remove seal on major assembly carrier (1) and clean sealing surfaces | Installation: Replace seal on major assembly carrier (1). | |
12 | Install in the reverse order |
