Remove/install

Shift to 6 th gear



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, interrogate fault memory

Remove glow plugs

Screw adapter (1) into glow plug threads

Place TDC finder (2) onto adapter (1)

Pressure loss tester

Crank the rear wheel in direction of travel until the piston in the TDC finder (2) drops suddenly (cylinder on ignition TDC)

 Block opposite rear wheel.

Apply parking brake

Separate TDC finder (2) from adapter (1)

Calibrate pressure loss tester (3)

 The display in the pressure gauge must be positioned at the beginning of the green area.

Inspect

10

Pressurize cylinder with compressed air and read off pressure loss at pressure loss tester (3)

If pressure loss has increased, determine cause.
