 Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Turn the wheel by positioning drain plug (2) of planetary gear of the wheel hub on both sides downwards

 Only drain the oil when it is heated.

Clean up around filling (1, 3) and drain (2, 4) plugs

Remove filling plugs (1, 3)

Remove drain plugs (2, 4) and drain the oil

 Do not drop oil from planetary gear on the tires. Use an appropriate container to drain.

Install drain plug (4)

 It must completely be clean.

Refill

Refuel the rear axle center housing according to the prescribed refuel volume

 For vehicles marketed outside of Brazil, the recommended lubricants should be consulted on the website http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com (Sheet 231.2).

Install the filler plug (3)

Turn the wheel until drain plug opening (2) of the hub is upwards on both sides

Fill the planetary gears of the wheels hubs, according to the prescribed filler level

Apply the sealing product on filler plug thread (1)

 Only outer planetary gears with steel cover.

Install filler plug (1) and oil drain plug (2)

Replace the longitudinal differential housing oil
