The line colors of the electrical lines (1, 2, 3) that are specified in the following represent the series production configuration and can be substituted with others if necessary. Please ensure that the electrical lines (1, 2, 3) can be correctly assigned in accordance with the slot assignment.
1 | Fabricate electrical line (1). |
RTBR line color, length approx. 250 cm, cross-section 0.5 mm2. |
2 | Fabricate electrical line (2). |
BLWS line color, length approx. 100 cm, cross-section 0.5 mm2. |
3 | Fabricate electrical line (3). |
BR line color, length approx. 200 cm, cross-section 0.5 mm2. |
4 | Crimp female contacts provided to the electrical lines (1, 2, 3) on one side. |
Use basic wiring harness repair kit. |
5 | Install female contacts of electrical lines (1, 2, 3) in supplied coupling housing (4) to connect to water stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A49/5). |
Slot assignment: |
The connection of the electrical line (1) to the power supply at the firewall fuse and relay module (K40/11) is described for installation of the radio remote control electrical wiring harness. |
The connection of the electrical line (2) to the climate control LIN at the air conditioning control and operating unit (KLA-V & KLA-H) (S98) is described for installation of the radio remote control electrical wiring harness. |
6 | Crimp supplied cable lug (5) for connecting to cockpit ground point (W1/6) to electrical line (3). |
Use basic wiring harness repair kit. |
7 | Join electrical lines (1, 2, 3) and wrap section by section with insulation tape. |
Ensure that the junctions of the electrical lines (1, 2, 3) remain free at the connection end. |
