Remove retaining clips (2)

Disconnect electrical connectors (5, 6, 7)

Unscrew nut (3)

Remove old TV digital tuner (8)

For this purpose, remove bolts (4).

Remove bracket (10) from old TV digital tuner (8)

Install

Modify bracket (10) for new TV digital tuner (9)

Modify electrical connection (5)

In this case, electrical connection (5) is replaced by electrical connection (11).

Glue enclosed Velcro fastener onto card reader (13)

Make sure that retaining clip for CA module of card reader (13) is on opposite side of Velcro fastener.

Glue card reader (13) onto new TV digital tuner (9) as shown

Install new TV digital tuner (9)

Screw in screw/bolts (4) to do this.

Connect electrical connections (6, 7, 11)

Insert electrical connections (12) for card reader (13) into card reader (13) and new TV digital tuner (9)

Install in the reverse sequence

Enter special equipment via Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)

Designation of relevant special equipment:
"Code O86 (Conversion to DVB-T2 with ext. card reader)"
"Code O87 (CI+box card reader for DVB-T2 standard)"

Attach note "TV tuner converted as per AN82.60-S-0020E" under field organization texts to design group 82.

Remove special equipment via VeDoc

Designation of special equipment to be removed:
"Code E1D (Digital radio)"

Digital radio (DAB+) reception is no longer possible due to exchange of old TV digital tuner (8) with new TV digital tuner (9).

Connect diagnostic system; read out fault memory

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Perform SCN coding of new TV digital tuner (9)

CA module of card reader (13) can only be operated in temperature range from 0 to 50°C. 
Outside of this temperature range, CA module of card reader (13) switches off automatically.
