The auxiliary oil pump must first have been removed.

 The lower engine compartment paneling must first have been removed.

 Model 447 with engine 651
The special tools  counterholder 651 589 00 40 00 or  counterholder 651 589 08 40 00 can be used to turn the crankshaft.

 Model 447, 448 with engine 274
The special tool  socket wrench bit 001 589 65 09 00 or a suitable socket wrench bit (size 27) can be used to turn the crankshaft.

1	Remove cover (1) from transmission.

2	Crank engine in direction of engine rotation until drain screw (2) on torque converter is accessible.

3	Remove drain screw (2).

 Commercially available devices/tools: Collection bowl

4	Insert a suitable drain hose into hole of torque converter and drain off transmission oil.

5	Remove drain hose.

6	Screw in drain screw (2)  .

 Replace seal.

7	Install cover (1) onto transmission.
