B6/7 Right exhaust camshaft Hall sensor
| Remove/install | ||
1 | Open engine hood and raise to vertical position | ||
2 | Remove front engine cover (1) | See Remove air filter housing. | |
3 | Remove left or right engine intake air duct (2) | ||
4 | Detach expansion reservoir (3) of power steering from front cover on cylinder head by unscrewing bolts (4) | When removing the left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6) | |

5 | Swivel expansion reservoir (3) of power steering pump far enough to side until the left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6) is accessible (arrow) | When removing the left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6) | |
6 | Disconnect plug from each camshaft Hall sensor. | ||
7 | Remove bolt (5) and remove each camshaft Hall sensor from front cover on cylinder head | Installation: Replace sealing ring. | |

8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
9 | Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if necessary | ||
