Check start of delivery (position sensor governor impulse method)

Remove/install

1

Remove screw plug (3) on governor body for injection pump (2)

 Collect any oil which runs out

Screw position sensor (1) into the governor body

 The guide pin (arrow) for the positions sensor (1) must point upwards.
Tighten union nut by hand



Connect position sensor (1) to battery (G2) +



Checking

Turn crankshaft until lamp "A" lights up then continue to turn carefully until both lamps "A and B" light up

 Turn crankshaft by hand in engine in its direction of rotation

Read off RI value on the graded scale of the belt pulley/vibration damper

 Indirect Start of delivery

 If only lamp "B" lights up, repeat the test.
If the specified value is not achieved 

Set start of delivery

Remove position sensor (1)

7

Tighten screw plug (3)

 Replace seal (4)



Check engine oil level, correct if necessary
