Test description
This is an operational check of the camshaft position sensor. For this purpose a metal piece is moved close to the position sensor and removed again.

Test connections
1 Put Pin 1 of camshaft position sensor to ground (circuit 31).
2 Connect Pin 2 of the camshaft position sensor to one terminal of the Multimeter to measure resistance.
3 Put the other terminal of the Multimeter to ground (circuit 31)
4 Connect Pin 3 of camshaft position sensor to circuit 30.
Carrying out the test
1 Bring a ferromagnetic metal piece (e.g. a key) close to the position sensor as shown in the illustration and read off the display on the Multimeter
2 Remove the metal piece and read off the display on the Multimeter
