1 | Thoroughly clean adhesive surface in door portal using special cleaner | ||
2 | Shorten seal to 1,160 mm | ||
3 | Make grooves in rear seal (near radius area of roof frame/A-pillar) using side cutting pliers (see exploded view A) | ||
4 | Detach protective foil of seal (1) and bond seal beginning at the top in the rear door cutout (exploded view B) | Maintain distance from seal to door portal bead (see exploded view B). Seal (1) should be bonded to the door portal (3) such that the seal closes along with the door wing or is covered by approx. 2 mm when the door is closed. | |
