Service Information bulletin: Sound amplifier control unit

 The "Sound amplifier" control unit (A2/13)"can no longer be programmed in combination with the current Head Unit software (as of ECE software 51/2005 or USA software 04/2006 or higher). For this reason as of the current DAS version 07/2006 a programming lockout function has been implemented with regard to the sound software.

When carrying out the sound amplifier updates, complications can occur between the current Head Unit and the sound software. This leads to a termination of the flash process.

 Procedure without a current customer complaint about the sound amplifier (A2/13):

 Provided that no complaints about sound functionality exist, the current software release is retained.

 Procedure in the event of customer complaints about the sound amplifier (A2/13):

 In the case of a customer complaint about sound functionality, please contact Mr. Nick (GSP/TPS).
