D54.21-1244-03
Task
After a valid transmitter key (A8/1) is recognized, the command to unlock the driver door or to open the right or left electric load compartment sliding door (E-LST) is transmitted via the Controller Area Network bus, class B (interior) (CAN B).
For this purpose, the Keyless Entry control unit must receive a signal via one of the following antennas:
Keyless Entry right sliding door antenna (A2/101)
Keyless Entry left sliding door antenna (A2/102)
Keyless Entry driver door antenna (A2/103)
Keyless Entry front passenger door antenna (A2/104)
Keyless Entry load compartment antenna 1 (A2/105)
Keyless Entry load compartment antenna 2 (A2/106)
On models 906.611/631/711/731 the Keyless Entry load compartment antenna 2 is omitted
The Keyless Entry control unit communicates with the EIS control unit (N73) and transmits the following messages via CAN B, e.g.:
"STR_AUF_KE (open right sliding door)"
"STR_SCHL_KE (close right sliding door)"
"SEL_ENTRI_KE (selective unlocking)"
"ID_GEBER_KE (result ID sensor search)"
"GLOBAL_VERRI_KE (lock vehicle globally)"
"STL_AUF_KE (open left sliding door)"
"STL_SCHL_KE (close left sliding door)"
"KE_DEAKTIV_ZEIT (KE deactivated by timeout)"
These messages are relayed to the corresponding control units such as:
Driver door control unit (N69/1)
Right sliding door [STR] control unit (N69/6)
Left sliding door [STL] control unit (N69/7)
