Lift airbag unit from steering wheel and disconnect connector (arrow) from the squib at gas generator

Remove airbag unit from steering wheel

When replacing the airbag unit, ensure proper and environmentally friendly disposal.

Replace steering wheel

Only if the airbag unit was triggered.

Install in the reverse order

Check the automatic resetting of the combination switch

Connect diagnostic system and perform quick test

Read out fault memory of airbag (AB) system and delete fault memory
