Remove/Install

 Danger!

Risk of injury caused by release of spring in the automatic belt retractor is released.

Never disassemble automatic belt retractors.

Pull off edge guard (4) on C-pillar in area of bottom C-pillar paneling (5) downwards

 Installation: Ensure that edge guard (4) is properly seated.

Remove cap (1) from seat belt guide bracket (3)

Detach seat belt guide bracket (3) from C-pillar

 Installation: Ensure that seat belt is correctly routed.



Fold back rear bench seat

 For model 454.0 with code (S33) Double folding rear bench seat (3 seats): move rear bench seat as far forward as possible, retract head restraints and fold down rear seat backrests. Then release rear bench seat and set in vertical position.

For model 454.0 without code (S33) Double folding rear bench seat (3 seats),

Fold floor covering (10) to side in trunk

Unclip bottom C-pillar paneling (5)

 Installation: Check clips on the back of the bottom C-pillar paneling (5), replace if necessary.



Detach belt end fitting (9) from body and remove belt end fitting (9)



Detach automatic belt retractor (7) from C-pillar



Remove automatic belt reel (7)

 Installation: The seat belt can only be pulled out of the automatic belt retractor (7) if the automatic belt retractor (7) is in the installation position.
