RAISE

Pull lever (1) in left side of footwell to unlock engine hood (2)

Engine hood will pop up; lift hood slightly if necessary.

Pull handle (3) out of the radiator trim as far as it will come and open the hood


Do not lift it by the handle.
Wiper arms must not have been folded to the front.

Remove pneumatic springs (4) from hood (2) at the top, move hood (2) into the vertical position and install the pneumatic springs in the bottom position (arrow) on the hood

FOLD DOWN

Remove pneumatic springs (4) from hood (2) at the top, fold hood (2) down slightly and install the pneumatic springs in the top position on the hood

Pull hood (2) down against the pressure of pneumatic springs (4)

Close engine hood (2)


Hands
are to be placed only on the front edges of the hood.

Pull engine hood firmly upwards to check the latching function of the engine hood lock
