Remove and install sun sensor

Remove/Install

Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit

 On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).

Use a long wedge to slightly raise the left air deflector nozzle (4a) or right air deflector nozzle (4b) on the vehicle center side on the plastic insert (3), release latch outwards (arrows) and remove upwards

 Installation: The tabs on the undersides of the air deflector nozzles must latch into the bores (5) on the plastic insert (3).

Using a suitable tool, penetrate the bores (5) and push the tabs (6) outwards, then pull plastic insert (3) up and out of the instrument panel (1)

 Do not push the tabs too far outward, as they may break off.

Release plug (2) at rear on sun sensor (B32) or at rear on dual sun sensor (B32/3) and then detach

Unclip sun sensor (B32) or dual sun sensor (B32/3) from plastic insert (3) and remove

 Do not bend the retaining lugs on the sun sensor (B32) or dual sun sensor (B32/3) too far, as they may otherwise break off.

Install in the reverse order
