Remove/install

Remove hood.

Remove upper engine cover.

Discharge air conditioning system.

Unscrew nuts (3) and release heat shield (2) in upper area.

Unclip vacuum line (4) and brake line (5) from holder (7).

Unscrew nut (6) and remove holder (7).

Unclip vacuum line (4) and brake line (5) from holder (9).

Unscrew nut (8) and remove holder (9).

Unclip vacuum line (4) and brake line (5) from holder (11).

Unscrew nut (10) and remove holder (11).

Unclip vacuum line (4) (arrows A) and place to one side.

Remove screw (12).

 Screw, refrigerant line to vehicle interior expansion valve

Release clamping claw (13) and detach refrigerant line (1) from expansion valve.



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 The clamping claw (13) remains on the refrigerant line (1).

 Installation: Replace O-ring on expansion valve using  assembly tool and moisten with compressor oil.

Seal openings immediately with stop plugs.

 Record plug

Unclip vacuum line (4) from refrigerant line (1) (arrow B).

Unscrew screw (14) and disconnect refrigerant line (1) from refrigerant line (15).



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Installation: Replace O-ring using  assembly tool and moisten with compressor oil.

Remove refrigerant line (1).


Handle refrigerant line (1) carefully.
Otherwise there may be damage to the refrigerant line (1) or adjacent component parts.
