Remove/install

Remove roof lining and place into vehicle

 It is not required to completely remove the roof lining from the vehicle.
Carefully remove the roof lining and place it in the vehicle so that the retaining clip (3) and the nuts (4, 5) for the roof railing (1) are accessible.

Unbolt nuts (4, 5)

 Nut, roof railing to roof frame

Loosen retaining clip (3) for the roof railing (1) from the roof frame

 To do so, press together lower retaining clip (3) and slightly lift up the front upper roof railing (1).

Remove the roof railing (1) upwards

 Installation:
Make sure that the seals (2) are seated properly.
Otherwise, the vehicle's paint finish may be damaged.

 To do so, carefully guide the threaded pins for the roof railing (1) upwards out of the assembly holes.



Clean

Clean contact surfaces on roof railing (1)


Use a soft rag.
Prevents paint damage.

Install in the reverse order
