Remove/install

Move front seat and seat backrest of front seat to foremost position

Remove front door sill

Remove rear door sill molding

Remove bolt (1)

 Screw/bolt, belt end fitting to B-pillar

Remove sealing frame (2) in area of lower B-pillar trim (3) at body flanges

Unclip lower B-pillar trim (3) at upper B-pillar trim (4) (arrows A)

 Clip remover

Unclip lower B-pillar trim (3), starting from the top, at B-pillar (arrows B)

 Long wedge

Unclip lower B-pillar trim (3) in front entrance area upward (arrow C), unhook from B-pillar (arrow D) and remove

Check retaining clips (5) for damage and that they are correctly seated

If a retaining clip (5) is damaged.



Replace retaining clip (5).

If a retaining clip (5) is not correctly seated in mount on lower B-pillar trim (3).



Correctly position retaining clip (5).

Install in the reverse order



Carry out seat belt function check

 Seat belts/emergency tensioning retractors
