1 | Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit | On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m). | |
2 | Unclip clips (6) at bottom of rear center console switch module mount (1) | Mounting wedge | |
3 | Disconnect electrical connector (2) from RCP control unit (N72/2) | ||
4 | Unscrew bolts (3) | Handymaster battery-powered drill/screwdriver | |
5 | Remove RCP control module (N72/2) | ||

6 | Insert RCP control unit (N72/2) | ||
7 | Screw in screws (3) | Handymaster battery-powered drill/screwdriver | |
8 | Connect electrical connector (2) to RCP control unit (N72/2) | ||
9 | Position rear center console switch module mount (1) on guides (4) | Slightly pull center console toward outside (arrows B) to prevent damage | |
10 | Clip in rear center console switch module mount (1) | Press center console toward inside (arrows C).Ensure that guides (5) are seated correctly | |
11 | Perform a function test |
