Remove/install

Remove right front wheel.

Remove right front fender liner.

Remove electrical connector (2).

 Installation: Check retaining clips for damage.

If the retaining clip is damaged,



Replace damaged retaining clip.

Disconnect electrical connection (2).

Expose electrical wiring harness (3).

Remove temperature sensor (1) from diesel particulate filter (4).

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Installation: Coat the thread of the temperature sensor (1) with heat-resistant lubricant.

Install in the reverse order.



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check leak tightness of the exhaust system in the area of the temperature sensor (1).
