No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Drain fuel tank (1)

Lift/jack up vehicle

Disconnect electrical connector on tank (X25/15)

Release fuel lines (4) and remove from fuel lines (3)

Collect fuel which runs out in a suitable container.

Unlock vent lines (6, 7) and remove from activated charcoal canister (5)

Unlock vent line (11) from connector (arrow) and disconnect

Loosen screw clamp (10) and slide in direction of filler neck (12)

Remove tensioning strap (8)

Support fuel tank (1) in center with telescopic lifter and transmission plate.

Remove tensioning straps (9)

Lower transmission jack with fuel tank (1), unlock vent line (14) and remove from vent valve (15)

Aid of helper required
When lowering fuel tank (1), remove hose (13) from fuel tank (1).

Lower fuel tank (1) only until vent line (14) is accessible

Lower transmission jack with fuel tank (1) and suction off remaining fuel from fuel tank (1)

Fuel pump (for pumping from supply tank) gasoline / diesel

Remove fuel pump with fuel level sensor

Only when installing new fuel tank (1).

Remove remaining fuel lines. vent lines and electrical lines

Only when installing new fuel tank (1).

Install in the reverse order

Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check fuel system in the area of the fuel tank (1) for leaks
