Remove/Install

Danger!

Risk of death cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Undo nut (2) on tie rod (1)

Before loosening the nut (2) mark the location of the tie rod (1) relative to the tie rod end (6)

Unscrew nut (4) from tie rod end (6)

Installation: Counterhold bolt (3) on steering knuckle (5) using a suitable tool.

Pry tie rod end (6) off steering knuckle (5)

Unscrew tie rod end (6) from the tie rod (1)

Install in the reverse order

Carry out chassis alignment.
