Remove/install

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Reduce vacuum in brake booster by depressing brake pedal several times.

Remove lower engine compartment paneling.

Detach vacuum line (1) from electric vacuum pump.

 Seal connection on electric vacuum pump.

 Record plug

Lower vehicle.

Remove vacuum line (1) from brake booster.

 Seal opening on brake booster.

 Installation: Check seal (3) for damage.

 Record plug

If corresponding findings are present,



Replace damaged seal (3).

Remove vacuum line (1).

 To do so, remove vacuum line (1) from retaining clips (2) and remove upwards.

 Installation: Check retaining clips (2) for damage.

If corresponding findings are present,



Replace damaged retaining clips (2).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Perform brake test on brake test stand.


