Remove/install

Raise vehicle

Unscrew bolt (1)

Bolt, rpm sensor to steering knuckle

*BA42.30-N-1001-02E

Pull left rear rpm sensor(L6/3) or right rear rpm sensor (L6/4) out of semi-trailing arm

Installation: Apply light coating of grease to left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear rpm sensor (L6/4).

Long-life grease

Detach electrical wiring harness from left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear rpm sensor (L6/4)

To do so, open cable ties on underfloor and on semi-trailing arm.

Installation: Replace cable tie.

Detach electrical connection for left rear rpm sensor (X62/21) or electrical connection for right rear rpm sensor (X62/22)

To do so, detach electrical connection for left rear rpm sensor (X62/21) or electrical connection for right rear rpm sensor (X62/22) from bracket (2).

Remove left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear rpm sensor (L6/4).

Check

Check electrical line for breakage or chafe marks

Depending on findings

Replace left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear rpm sensor (L6/4).

Install in the reverse order
