Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Remove rear axle shafts.

Remove sealing rings (1).


Do not damage the seat of the sealing rings (1) in the rear axle differential (2).
Leaks can occur otherwise.



Clean

Clean seat of sealing rings (1) in housing of rear axle differential (2).

Cold degreasing agent/cold cleaning solvent HAKU 1025-920

Check

4

Check seat of sealing rings (1) in housing of rear axle differential (2).

If damage is detected,



Replace rear axle differential(2).

Remove/install differential

Check installation position of left retaining ring (3).


Retaining ring (3) must not cover up bore (arrow).
Otherwise, oil may leak out through the bleed line.

If retaining ring (3) is not correctly seated,



correct installation position of retaining ring (3).



Install

6

Apply coating of oil to sealing lips of sealing rings (1).


