a Measure axle housing internal dimension
1 Insert adjustment device (01) into rear axle housing and measure gap using feeler gauge (02).
2 Determine and note axle housing internal dimension.
The axle housing internal dimension is calculated from the addition of the special tool dimension and the gap measured.
Example: Special tool dimension 198,5 mm
Feeler gauge gap 0,7 mm
Axle housing internal dimension 199,2 mm

B Measure differential
3 Position differential with one 5 mm thick shim each at the top and bottom on a level base and measure the total height (arrow).
Example: Differential measured with shims 198,4 mm
Differential without shims 188.4 mm
