Remove/install

1 Detach trailing arm (1) from the bracket of the trailing arm (2) .

 Identify installation position of any shims present if necessary.

 Installation: Observe installation position of shims. Replace self-locking bolts.

2 Detach trailing arm (1) from substructure .

3 Unscrew mounting screw of thread lock and remove mounting screws complete with thread lock.

 Only carry out if the mounting screw on the substructure is accessible.
Identify installation position of any shims present if necessary.

 Installation: Observe installation position of shims. Replace self-locking bolts.

4 Remove trailing arm (1).

 Lower rear axle if necessary in order to remove the trailing arm (1).
Identify installation position of any shims present if necessary.

 Installation: Observe installation position of shims.

5 Install in the reverse order.
