1 Loosen nut (2).

If the bolt of the flange joint (1) turns at the same time when loosening the nut (2), the flange joint (1) must be supported using a transmission jack.

2 Pry off flange joint (1) using puller (3).

3 Unscrew nut (2).

Installation: Replace nut (2).

4 Pull down transverse control arm (5) and pull flange joint (1) out of the steering knuckle (4).

Push transverse control arm (5) on front axle down only as far as required, as otherwise the rubber bushings in the transverse control arm (5) may be damaged.

5 Install in the reverse order.
