Raise vehicle

Secure vehicle on vehicle lift

Remove front wheel

Remove drive shaft from front axle gear

With code (ZG1/ZG2/ZG3/ZG4) All-wheel drive

 When prying out the transverse control arm (2) this serves to ensure that when the drive flange is drawn out of the transfer case the radial shaft sealing ring is not damaged.



Remove stop plate (1) from transverse control arm (2) and turn up to top



Remove ball head of link rod (5) from transverse control arm (2)

With code (LG0) bi-xenon headlamp or code (LG1) bi-xenon headlamp with corner-illuminating fog lamps

Unscrew nut (7) on supporting joint



Support transverse control arm (2) using transmission jack

Transmission jack 0.5 t

Unscrew transverse control arm (2) from front axle (6) and pry out

 Installation: Ensure correct seating of rubber bushings in front spring and in the transverse control arm (2). Tighten bolts (4) only with suspension compressed.



Detach supporting joint from steering knuckle and remove transverse control arm (2)
