Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Open engine hood

Lift vehicle on lifting platform.

Remove the front wheels



Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary

Unclip bracket (27) from suspension strut (11)

 Remove cable ties Push bracket (27) along the brake hose as far as possible upwards and fasten.

 Installation: Install new cable ties.

Detach torsion bar link rod (4) from suspension strut (11).



Unscrew nut of suspension strut (11) on top of upright and pull out bolt

 The threaded connection of the suspension strut at top of upright with Allen head bolt, washers and nut is to be replaced by a threaded connection with external hexagon bolt and nut. The washers are discontinued. Tightening torque only applies to the threaded connection with external hexagon bolt.



Detach suspension strut (11) from bottom of upright

 Secure upright to prevent it from falling down as the brake hose must not be subjected to tensile loads.



Unscrew nuts (3) on suspension strut support

 Secure suspension strut (11) to prevent it from falling down.



Remove suspension strut (11)

Install in the reverse order

Perform a wheel alignment check
