Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

Deburr repair panels.

Turn transmitter key in EIS [EZS] control unit to position "0" and remove

 To prevent unintentional starting of the engine.

Remove bolts (11) and air intake pipe (9) on air filter housing (10)

Lift/jack up vehicle

Unclip air ducting (3) on fan shroud (2) on the left and right

Lower vehicle

Unclip cover (4) (arrows)

Remove viscous fan clutch (1) from coolant pump using an open end wrench insert (5) and torque wrench as well as a counterholder (6) and lay in the fan shroud (2)

 Loosen and remove viscous fan clutch (1) anti- clockwise.

 Carefully place viscous fan clutch (1) in fan shroud (2) in order to avoid damage occurring on the radiator.



Unlock fan shroud (2) at catch hooks (7) and pull upwards out of the guides (8)

 Installation: The fan shroud (2) must engage in guides (8) and catch hooks (7) must be locked.

Press fan shroud (2) in direction of engine then remove viscous fan clutch (1) between radiator and fan shroud (2)

 Carefully remove viscous fan clutch (1) from fan shroud (2) in order to avoid damage occurring on radiator.

Install in the reverse order
