Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Disconnect battery ground line

Raise vehicle

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Remove poly V-belt from belt pulley on alternator (G2)

Remove bracket (1)

 Bolt, alternator to major assembly carrier

Unscrew nut (2)

 To do this remove cap beforehand.

 Nut, circuit B+ to alternator

Remove screw/bolt (3)

 Bolt, alternator to major assembly carrier

Disconnect electrical connection (4)

 For this purpose slightly turn alternator (G2).

Remove alternator (G2)

Install in the reverse order

 Headless screws/bolts: screws/bolts and nuts, coarse-pitch thread
