Remove/install

Remove throttle valve actuator

Remove hose (2) from intake manifold (1), and place out of working area together with air intake hose (3)

 To do this, open clip (4), and unclip hose (2) from bracket (5).

Remove hose (6) from intake manifold (1)

 To do this, release clamp (7).

Remove hose (8) from intake manifold (1)

 To do this, release clamp (9).

 Hose clamp pliers

Remove hose (10) from intake manifold (1)

 To do this, release clamp (11).

 Hose clamp pliers

Remove fuel line (12) from intake manifold (1)

 To do this, unclip fuel line (12) from bracket (13).

Remove front right wheel

Remove right fender liner

Remove hose (14) from intake manifold (1)

 To do this, unclip hose (14) from brackets (15).

Remove hose (16) from intake manifold (1)

 To do this, unclip hose (16) from brackets (17).

Remove intake manifold (1)

 To do this, unscrew nuts (21, 22), and remove screws/bolts (18, 19, 20).

 Installation: Replace seal (24).
Tighten screws/bolts (18, 19, 20) and nuts (21, 22) in numerical sequence.

 Nut/bolt, intake manifold to cylinder head

Check stud bolts (23)

 Stud bolt to cylinder head

Depending on findings



Replace stud bolts (23).

Install in the reverse order



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
