Remove/install

Remove fuel high-pressure pump(1).

Position counterholder on gearwheel (3) of fuel high-pressure pump (1) and unscrew nut (2).


Do not cant  counterholder.
The tooth flanks of the gearwheel (3) will otherwise be damaged.

Pull off gearwheel (3) using the puller.

 Observe installation position of Woodruff key (4).

 Puller

Remove Woodruff key (4) at drive shaft of fuel high-pressure pump (1).

Check Woodruff key (4) for wear and damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace Woodruff key (4).

Install in the reverse order.
