Detaching
1 Mark timing chain (4) and crankshaft gear (12) together (arrows).
2 Remove spring washer (15)

3 Mark timing chain (4) and crankshaft gear (3) together (arrows).

4 Unscrew double hexagon stretch bolt (1) and remove with washer (2).
5 Remove camshaft sprocket (3) and allow timing chain to sag.

6 Draw out crankshaft gear (12) with the extractor (20).

Attaching
7 Transfer the marking from the old to the new crankshaft gear.
Check timing chain, camshaft sprocket, injection adjustment sprocket, oil pump chain and oil pump sprocket for wear and replace if necessary.

8 Drive out new crankshaft gear (12) with drift (21).
The groove in the crankshaft gear must be aligned with the spring washer (arrows).

9 Fit timing chain (4) onto camshaft sprocket (12).
Take note of the markings on the crankshaft gear/timing chain.

10 Check length (L) of the double hexagon stretch bolt and replace if necessary.
The fact that the double hexagon stretch bolt is subject to residual elongation after tightening means that it must be replaced after exceeding the maximum length.

12 Mount camshaft sprocket (3) in the timing chain (4) and mount on the camshaft.
Take note of the markings on the camshaft sprocket/ timing chain and the cylindrical pin (arrows)
13 Put on washer (2) and tighten up double hexagon stretch bolt (1) firmly .
