Install retaining lock for crankshaft/ring gear

Remove belt pulley/vibration damper

Examine contact surface of hub for signs of wear

Radial seal

Use a screwdriver to prise out; when doing this, do not damage crankshaft and mounting bore for the radial seal. Use a clean rag as a base.

Installation: install front crankshaft radial seal

Check for leaks with engine running

Spray the cleaned and dried surrounding area with MB white contrast spray and then check for oil leaks
