1 Mount the dial indicator (2) with the extension (3) on the dial indicator holder (1).
2 Fasten the dial indicator holder (1) evenly on the cylinder crankcase (4) and
align the extension (3) with the crankshaft (5).
3 Press the crankshaft (5) with a suitable screwdriver on one side until it rests (arrow A) and hold.
4 Set scale of dial gage (2) to zero.
5 Press the crankshaft (5) with a suitable screwdriver on the other side until it rests (arrow B) and hold.
6 Read off measurement value at dial indicator (2).
The measurement value obtained corresponds to the crankshaft end play (5).
7 Detach the dial indicator holder (1) with the dial indicator (2) and extension (3) from the cylinder crankcase (4).
