Unscrew nuts (7 ) from front axle carrier

 Before unscrewing the left engine mount, press oil line of the power steering system out of the bracket.

 Bolt, front engine mount to front axle carrier

Remove resonator (3) with resonance body (2)

 Do not damage plastic tab.

 To do this, disconnect connector from the hot film mass air flow sensor (HFM) and unscrew resonator from cylinder head cover. The resonance tube is attach to the rear of the intake manifold with a plastic tab.

Put on engine carrier arm

Lift engine

 Ensure that the engine does not make contact with the body at the rear! Do not overstretch coolant lines and engine/body ground strap (W11/5); if necessary, remove engine/body ground strap (W11/5).

Remove oil pan bottom section (6)

Notes on sealant path for oil pan

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces; apply sealant to the sealing surfaces with a bead of 2.0 mm  0.5 mm! The sealant must be applied within 10 min! The silicone bead must not be spread!

 Self-tapping screw, oil pan to oil pan
