 Only engine 112.942 /970.

 Remove bottom screws (8) from the fan shroud.

Remove air guide plate (9)

 Only engine 113.942.

Drain/collect engine oil

 Oil drain screw to oil pan

Unscrew nuts (7 ) from front axle carrier

 Before unscrewing the left engine mount, press oil line of the power steering system out of the bracket.

Remove resonator (3) with resonance body (2)

 Do not damage plastic tab.

 The resonance tube is attach to the rear of the intake manifold with a plastic tab.

 Disconnect connector from hot film mass air flow sensor (HFM) and unscrew resonator from cylinder head cover.

Put on engine carrier arm

Lift engine

 Ensure that the engine does not make contact with the body at the rear!
Do not overstretch coolant lines and engine/body ground strap (W11/5); if necessary, remove engine/body ground strap (W11/5).

Unscrew oil pan bottom section (6)

 Self-tapping screw, oil pan to oil pan

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces; apply sealant to the sealing surfaces with a bead of 2.0 mm ( 0.5 mm)! The sealant must be applied within 10 min! The silicone bead must not be spread!
